Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that CBSE will conduct Annual board examinations for classes 10 and 12 from May 4 to June 10 and results are expected around July 15. In the current situation after so many deliberations the government was decided to conduct the Annual board examinations for Classes 10 and 12.

Earlier Government had announced that there will be no exams till February due to the unpredictable situation. He also ruled out the possibility of conducting examinations online. As the situation due to Covid-19 pandemic faced by students and teachers and the schools is unprecedented. The conditions are improving slowly but steadily and so the Government have come to decision to conduct the examinations in a conducive environment to the students for the examinations from May 4th onwards.
The Education Minister also said to get the copies evaluated on time and have results declared on time. Schools will be allowed to conduct Practical/Project/Internal Assessment Examinations of Class12 from March 1st . The same is applicable for class 10 Practical examinations also. The Government is planning to declare the examination results by July 15. The Government on Thursday has released the notification signed by the controller of examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj. The dates for both the classes will be issued soon. All the details will be made available on CBSE website very soon.
