The University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Veda Prakash asked all the universities to give top priority and make sure to ensure online admission system and sought details of the progress made in this regard from the next academic year.

Writing a letter to vice chancellors of all universities Veda Prakash said the progress achieved by the various universities in implementing online admissions will be reviewed in a meeting scheduled next month.
He also said that the Online admission procedure will bring not only transparency in the system but also improves the efficiency. It will be also helpful in evaluating the functionality of the entire universities and also institutions.Online Admission system will also be helpful for both parents and students in taking informed choices.
