Aiming to attract the younger generation in to agriculture sector , The central government under the 'Maitri Yogana' implemented by the ministries of Fisheries, animal husbandry and dairying has employed 16,000 youths to the farm sector.

The Rashtriya Gokul Mission has established MAITRIs (Multipurpose Artificial Insemination-AI Technicians in Rural India) with an intention to generate employment for educated youth. They will provide training at accredited AI training institutes. out of total 90,598 Jobs, 16,000 youth have got employment.
The younger generation is the backbone of the country. Empowering youth means empowering India's future as they are future nation builders of India. The National Youth Policy also focuses primarily on youth development. The Extensive work is being done in five major areas like Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Health, Fitness, Sport, Social Justice, Youth leadership and development ,that foresees "Ten years of Youth Development " in which India wants to achieve by 2030.
