English is funny and interesting language  It is global spread and popular language in the World.It is accumulated with many interesting aspects of its nature in the world. English Language

  • As according to dictionary.com '&' (Ampersand) is used as the 27th Letter of the English Alphabet during the early 1800s.
  • English originates from North west Germany and Netherlands in the 14th Century.
  • English is the official language for 67 countries.
  • English is spoken by 952 million people around the World. Among which 339 million people speak English as a first language and 603 million people speak as second language.
  • English Language is also called as the Language of the Sky. this means that English language is the main language of communication  used by the pilots.
  • The first English dictionary (Dr Johnsons dictionary )  was written in 1755.and it sets out the rules of English Grammar and spelling 
  • The sentences that uses all the letters in the English Alphabet is called Panagram,We can find Panagram writing conversation very rare. They are often used for fun wordplay.
  • The most used adjective in the English language is Good.and the most commonly used noun is "time"
  • The English language is said to be one of the happiest languages in the world.
  • oh and the word Happy is used 3 times more than the word Sad

  • The oldest English word that is still use is "Town".

  • William Shakespeare's contribution to English was more valuable. He had great influence on English language as a poet, writer etc.. He was responsible for adding thousands of words in English language.
  • The longest English Word has 45 letters. ‘Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis’, The Merriam-Webster dictionary gives the medical definition of the word as " a pneumoconiosis caused by inhalation     of very fine silicate or quartz dust"
