Punjab government is planning to bring lot of reforms in Education Sector to impart quality education for all

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that Education is the backbone for building a new society.The government is going to bring lot of improvements in the Education Sector The schools are going to be transformed as according to modern education standards

    Education Reforms in Punjab

Punjab government is going to setup the state of art government schools and also regulate the fees system in private schools. Earlier Mann visited Delhi and learned about health institutes and schools Delhi Education model will be adopted in Punjab as well so that students from all economic backgrounds will get quality education together. Punjab government's top priority is to provide quality education for all

All the issues of teachers will be resolved to their satisfaction soon. Teachers in schools and colleges will exclusively focus on work associated with teaching as their primary responsibility and they will not be given any other additional task.

The No Objection Certificate (NoC) of schools found violating the Fees Act, 2016 will be cancelled. The Schools will also be imposed Rs 1 Lakh fine. The Lecturers in the colleges and universities will be granted UGC Pay scales.

In order to impart quality Technical Education the Punjab government is planning to establish 19 New Industrial training institutes. 44 New courses will be introduced in this Industrial training institutes Punjab government has also initiated the process to fill in the vacancies for recruitment of over 5,994 elementary trained teachers and 8,393 pre-primary teachers.

Punjab government went on to remark best practices from India and the World. There is need to revamp teacher training practices The faculty members will also be trained by Punjab Department of School Education in combination with the US Embassy of regional English language at New Delhi
