Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the Mandate Document guidelines for the development of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020 is the philosophy and National Curriculum Framework is the Pathway and the mandate document is the consititution to champion that has the positive impact with the changing demands of the 21st century.

The mandate document will bring a paradigm shift along and focuses more on acquiring life skills along with holistic development. The Minister also suggested to set up an app based process so that every one will contribute their fresh ideas and suggestions in developing the system. NEP will serve as a best role model for emerging economies across the world.
National Curriculum Framework's development is being guided by the National Steering Committee (NSC) guided by Dr K Kasturirangan, and supported by mandate group inaddition to the National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT).
The NCF includes the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE), The National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education (NCFTE), The National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Care Education (NCFECCE) and National Curriculum Framework for Adult Education (NCFAE)
