Indian Government has taken a landmark decision for providing 27% reservation for OBCs and 10% reservation for Economic weaker sections in India for undergraduate and post graduate medical education.Prime Minister Narendra Modi has Launched various key initiatives in the NEP 2020 anniversary event Like Vidya Pravesh , a three month play based school preparation module for Grade 1 students and Structured Assessment for Analyzing Learning Levels (SAFAL) is a competency based assessment framework for Grade 3, 5 and 8 in CBSE schools.
PM Modi has also launched new programs like National Digital Education Architecture (NDEAR), National Education Technology Forum (NETF) and First year engineering courses in regional languages. 14 Engineering Colleges in 8 states are going to start engineering studies in 5 Indian Languages A tool has also been developed for translation of Engineering courses in to 11 Indian Languages.
After launching he said the New Education Policy is one of the big factors in the great sacrifice of nation nuilding and these programs will have a big role in Future. The Artificial Intelligence program will also make youth future oriented,opening the way for AI driven economy.
Academic bank of credit will provide multiple entry and exit options for students in Higher education. A Website dedicated to AI has also launched in the event. For the first time Indian Sign language can be taught as a language.It is now considered as a status of a language subject.
