Teacher from Zilla parishad school in a remote village has ensured students get access to Virtual Education

All Schools and Colleges continue to remain shut amid the Covid-19 Pandemic situation all over India. A Teacher from Zilla Parishad School in a remote village of Jalna district of Maharashtra, has ensured that all the students gets access to Virtual Online education. 

When the Caronavirus induced Complete lockdown was announced all over the country in March 2020, Online education became the need of the hour for students of all classes and all ages. This makes teachers and lecturers to adopt different latest technologies to reach out to students.

 

Virtual Education & Learning

The Government Teacher from Zilla Parishad School named Pentu Maisanwad  took a challenge to get his students access to Internet devices for online education. The Teacher said that they found it difficult to purchase devices and in addition to that there are network issues in the village. He had brought in Innovative methods of learning and teaching to students.

Parents couldn't able to afford money to buy Smartphones and tablets as they didn't even own a  simple phone also.  He has to convince parents so that lock down time cannot be wasted and lock down shouldn't become the roadblock for children's learning activity.

With the help of locals, all 27 children in Primary School (Classes  1 to 4) now have tablets and three dongles have been setup at different places of the village to give students access to Internet.Classes of various subjects are conducted through various applications like Google Meet and Whatsapp. He said that with the help of his colleague Gaikwad he organizes "Nukud" classes and teaches children on Temple premises of the Village.

The Efforts of the teacher Pentu Maisanwad was appreciated by the  Prinicipal of District Institute of Education (DIET) Dr Rajendra Kamble and Block Education Officer Santosh Sable. Along with other officials They have visited the village and praised him.
