Kerala became the first state in the country to resume school examinations that were halted due to the Covid-19 lockdown. Kerala government has issued necessary guidelines to all the officials. Social Distancing, Hand Sanitizers, Mandatory Masks, Pamphlets, and Thermal Screening are mandatory elements before going to exam hall. Only 20 students per hall and strict instructions against students gathering together.

Almost 4.25 Lakh students are going to take 10th class state board exams in the state of Kerala. The government is going to conduct examinations for the above students in 2,945 centers. Vocational higher secondary examinations for 29,458 students are being conducted at 389 centers. The Class 12 Examinations will start on Wednesday with 3,79,519 students at 2,032 centers. All these examinations are scheduled to continue till this month-end.
The School officials said that the government has purchased 5,000 thermal screening devices and all the examination centers are disinfected by fire and rescue teams from the past few days. After the first session of examination in the Morning, the halls, benches, and desks were disinfected again for the Second session examination in the Afternoon.
Schools will arrange transportation for students as there is no public transport services available in many districts because of lockdown. Parents will drop and pick up their children in the examination center. Students who could not clear the thermal screening process before the examination were allotted special rooms and their answer sheets are to be deposited in the special bags.
Teachers and Invigilators are provided with special gloves every day and they kept in color-coded packets for disposal. Necessary steps will be taken to ensure contact between teachers and students. There will be no attendance sheets in the examination hall rather invigilators will take the attendance by counting. Students are advised not to share their stationaries and water bottles with their fellow students and after the completion of the examination, they are directed to go home without interacting with other students.
