Wellington college is a British co-educational private school and college located in the Berkshire. The school was granted in 1853 as the Royal and Religious Foundation of The Wellington College and was opened in 1859. Wellington has approximately 950 pupils aged between 13 and 18. The School is a member of the G20 Schools group.

Admissions Policy
For 16+ entry:
there is very strong competition for most categories of entry. Application is requested by October 16th in the year ahead of entry. Candidates sit preliminary assessment and entrance examinations and have an interview at Wellington (if possible) in mid November for 1st December offers. Places are offered on the basis of decisions made in consideration of academic results, interview and reference. (Later testing may be conducted for late place availability). Places are conditional, where applicable, upon candidates' GCSE attainment of A* or A grade in any subject to be continued in AS/A2 or IB programme, or in equivalent subjects.
