Karnataka Chief Minister Bommai announced that under CM Vidya Shakti scheme government will provide free education in government pre-university and government degree colleges.. The decision taken by Karnataka government will benefit 8 lakh students. This will enable all children who graduate from high schools to continue their higher education.

Karnataka government has taken several initiatives to improve the quality of education in the state As a part of Agniveer Scheme,The government will also provide free training and coaching to students belonging to SC, ST and Minority Communities who wish to join in the Indian Army.
Information Technology is being used in the state administration. Adding security of the administrative system is of the top priority. 24*7 Cyber Security Operation Centre (CSOC) with latest modern technology will be established to ensure safety of government websites, online services and for data security.
Recently The Karnataka government along with the combination of Bal Utsav NGO is planning to remodel 350 government schools development to the desired standard as a part of the "Nammoora Shaale, Nammellara Shaale " initiative. This will help in establishing the good infrastructure and necessary resource facilities that are required in schools to enhance the education system in every district of Karnataka
