Pacific health research Symposium helps people to connect and learn valuable information from various industry health leaders, researchers and professionals. The event is being organized by the University of Auckland. The Symposium was attended by various health leaders, students and researchers from Aoteroa.

The main aim of this symposium was to give pacific peoples an opportunity to consider research as a viable career option.Although The pacific communities and health are one of the most researched communities in Aotearoa there is no improvement and real time benefits or outcomes in the healthcare sector over the recent years.
The Symposium has also highlighted the importance of Co-Design with Research and this has motivated more Pacific people conducting research in Pacific communities. Co-Design process involves researchers and communities working together to decide what research is needed and what are the favorable outcomes would like to see and taking the whole community along for the research journey.
The topics which was presented in the Public health research symposium ranges from Health equity, Diabetics, Child health research, Breast cancerm MVPFAFF+ health along with presentations from Auckland Regional Public Health, The Heart Foundation, Moana Connect, Pasifika Medical Association and The Fono.
