Twenty Three Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs) will join hands together for mega research and development fair to be held in National capital Delhi on October 14 and 15 in commemoration of India's 75th year of Independence with the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative.

The event is named as "IInvenTiv"and is aimed at creating holistic awareness about various research and innovation projects done in various prominent institutes and seeking collaborative avenues among various universities in states and institutes. This event will also focus on better development of IITs, State universities,institutes and industry to take new advanced researches and innovation at the grassroots level .
Amongst the Themes identified for the fair are Defence and Aerospace, Devices and Digital Healthcare, Environment and Sustainability, Clean Energy and Hydrogen & EV Renewables, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain Technologies (Quantum Computing, Smart Cities (Smart Mobility) and Infrastructure), Communication Technologies (Education and 5G).
India is reaching new heights in research and innovations with the great support of IITs India is attaining self reliance across various sectors. IInven's Prime Focus is to promote innovations inline with the Make in India and seek solutions and better reach of Key Innovations regarding the increase of awareness of R&D's from all the IITs that would help to develop more affordable technologies for the future.
At the fair IITs will showcase projects on diverse areas like drone technology, smart city architecture, sustainability, climate change, rural agriculture and affordable healthcare.. This event would also host students and administrators from tier2 and tier3 cities.to have a close glimpse on R&D ecosystem.
This would facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the requirements at the grass root level.in major key areas like Agriculture, resource management, rural development and sanitation etc... and would engage them to develop latest innovations that create global positive impact on various sections of the society.
A total of 75 projects along with six showcase projects.have been selected for the event.IIT Kanpur will lead the presentation with ongoing R&D drone technology followed by IIT Bombay with Bahubhaasak peoject that enables speech-to-speech translation, SWAYAM,NPTEL, MOOC's videos in vernicular languages.
Representation of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry(CI) and National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) will be present at the eveny.
