Govt to seek public inputs on "Enjoyable Learning" and new curriculum inclusions of NCF

The Ministry of Education is planning to revise National Curriculum Framework (NCF) . In order to expand the scope of consultations the government has launched an online public survey to take inputs on the revision of NCF. in which new textbooks will be prepared. Everyone can give their valuable suggestions through the portal ncfsurvey.ncert.gov.in

Learning Approach

NCF Comprises of all information about school guidelines.Since Independence NCF has undergone four revisions, Among four two revisions happened in a period of five years, in 2000 and 2005. The current revision is being held by a steering committee of 12 members headed by former ISRO chairman K Kasturirangan. The government has set a deadline to complete this revision before December 2022. This revision will set a new foundation for  new NCERT text books.

Anyone who has an interest in School and Teachers education are Invited to participate in Online Survey. This survey is being conducted in 23 languages, including the languages  placed in the VIIIth schedule of Indian constitution. All  Teachers, Principals/Head Masters, Educationists, Parents, Students, School leaders, NGOs, Artists, Public representatives, Artisans, Farmers can participate in this survey and express their views.

The participants need to answer 10 Multiple Choice Questions on the issues such as Primary issues regarding curriculum content in textbooks that a new curriculum framework address and best ways to ensure that learning in classrooms is made more enjoyable. As a part of survey participants can also submit a small write up on Ways to make school education more effective, relevant and meaningful for learners.
