Schools in India may soon see Digital Boards instead of regular blackboards in classrooms says Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Union Budget 2018. He said that Technological changes will improve the quality of education in schools and colleges. Digital Boards are interactive and also provides an excellent facility for teachers from various other locations to join students.

As according to Finance minister Union Budget 2018 the central government aims to spend Rs 1 Lakh crore on education and infrastructure development in a period of four years. The Government will also set up a specialized Railway university at Vadodara. The Government is going to introduce a new scheme to identify the talented students who are pursuing their BTech and by providing higher educational opportunities in IIT and IISC by giving them scholarship and handsome fellowships to continue their studies.
NITI Ayog is going to establish a national program for Artificial Intelligence. More than 5 Lakh WIFI hotspots will be set up in rural areas to provide uninterrupted quality Internet access. Electronic IT assessment will lead to greater efficiency and transparency across India.
