Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced that Government will undertake reforms in UGC Education Examinations like JEE, NEET, NET and other prestigious exams authority and autonomy to colleges and institutions. In Union Budget 2017 Minister informed that the Government is going to set up a National Testing Agency that will organize all the entrance examination pattern which will free CBSE, AICTE and all other agencies.

The Union Government will introduce a new system of annual learning outcome in schools and innovation fund for Secondary education setup.Government is also planning to undertake reforms in University Grants Commission which will give autonomy to colleges and institutions.The Government is planning to allocate more funds on education sector.
Last year, The Central Board of Secondary Education had asked UGC to conduct National Eligibility Test on its own. CBSE is primarily focusing on core areas and work that will improve the quality of education which reduces the burden on stretching the resources for conducting exams for various government bodies.
