Delhi University has made mandatory rule to have approval from CBSE for changing name request

Delhi University has made a mandatory decision for students who are willing to change the name request to have an approval from the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE)  or State Boards First.

Students who wants to change the name should submit the proof of original advertisements published in the Two leading daily newspapers along with the self declaration on the prescribed format by the applicant and copy of the Government of India Gazette notification regarding the change of name.

As Directed by the Delhi High Court in November Delhi University wants to amend rules for changing name and to add 'A' before the names prior to Delhi Students Union election in order to make their names listed at the top of the ballot papers flawed.Last year Delhi University had done baring students who wish to contest in elections with their change their names .They allowed students to contest in elections with their registered names in Delhi University.

Earlier Delhi University had already notified in July regarding the new rules for change of name and all other rules will remain same while studying in Delhi University.
